For me, The idea of the student protest at Galgotia is harebrained and devoid of logic. Just think of the idiotic nature of the protest that these gullible and vulnerable students were sucked into:
1. The student protesters were protesting against opposition that doesn’t have any administrative powers to help the students. We were teaching the students to be a cheerleader, be pliant with the govt. and blame the opposition.
2. For whatever it means, the students were chanting ‘We support Viksit Bharat’ in front of the Congress headquarters. But congress never said that they were against a developed India!
3. Inheritance tax and Wealth redistribution always benefit the lowest strata. Most of these students had nothing to lose, if indeed inheritance tax was implemented and everything to gain. They were made to protest against their own interests.
4. The students were sucked into a protest based on a lie that was peddled by BJP. The congress manifesto neither talked of wealth redistribution nor inheritance tax. They talk of equity and nothing more.
5. The protesting students could not read, spell, understood nor articulate. At least, the brains behind the protest could have gathered those who would be spokespersons who were articulate. The organisers exposed a bunch of vulnerable, gullible students.
I have conducted and also have been a part of a few protests in my student days. In a town hall, we discuss and debate the issue. On the day of the protest, those who are aligned to the issue gather. Those who are passive or disagree go into sleep mode.
Btw, the incentive was meeting Kangana and internal marks? Seriously?
